I'm proud of myself: counting my first day on May 5, I've gotten through 3 whole workouts of the 30 Day Shred! Yesterday I tried Level 2, just to see what it's like. Some of the moves weren't too bad, but others really got to me.
So I think I'll stick with Level 1 for the rest of this week. Will and I went to dinner at Brio (Mall at Millenia) yesterday, and bought some Godiva, so I was planning to take the night off from the Shred. Lo and behold, he chose yesterday to become a better partner, though!
We spent our usual few hours watching TV, but when I mentioned taking a night off, he told me, "You're not supposed to take a break, Kitty! Nope."
So I sat and watched TV for a while after that (when he was online playing games)..and I tried to tell myself I deserve a night off. I even tried to tell myself it wasn't good to exercise every day. But I kept hearing his voice in my head, and seeing myself in my bridal shower dress. So I got off the couch and put in the DVD.
It means I'm proving to myself I can keep up with my plan.

30 Day Shred...Day 1 5/5/09
I started the h-e-double hockey sticks that is 30 Day Shred yesterday night. (Interesting that I started it on the day that marks exactly 4 months until the wedding!)
I think I'm going to like doing it after dinner, and a couple hours of relaxing. I'm only on level 1, but yesterday when I was finished, I was really sweating, and tired! Made it sooooo easy to sleep! My legs and shoulders are sore, but it's the good kind of pain, that makes me feel like I've done something.
I only have one complaint so far: Will. He bought the DVD for me, and I made a deal with him for it. Since he bought it, he doesn't have to DO it with me, but he does have to be my motivational partner. He kinda sucks at that, though. I was proud of myself for getting through the first day yesterday, and he never said anything! I'm not looking for compliments every single day, but it would be nice if he took the *hint* and said he was proud of me.
I really want to look my best at the wedding, AND for my bridal shower. I think Will's going to come around, but in the meantime I've started putting motivational Post-Its in my office, and my bathroom. There is one on my mirror from yesterday already. It just annoys me that he's not following through on his end of the deal. It's harder now that I'm out of UCF and I don't have my friend Laura (whom I used to hit the gym with) to work out.
But I think I can do it. One more TV show for tonight, and then I'm shreddin' it up again! I'm gonna try to do it every day during the week. I'll probably end up with 2-3 times per week, but like the saying says,
"Shoot for the moon. You'll land among the stars." :D

Early Valentine's gifts!
Will and I couldn't wait--we gifted each other early. (Seems like it's what we always do!) He upgraded my 2GB silver iPod to an 8GB purple one:
Of course since I'm always in wedding-planning mode, I've already thought of some wedding pics I can take with it =P
I went to Tallahassee for 3 days this week, thru UCF. While I was there, I stopped by World Market (since the closest one to us is in Sanford). I got him some European chocolate, and a Skullsplitter beer, from Scotland. That's already gone, of course
;-)
I have one more thing, though. I got a free, blank "love scroll" from World Market too. I'm going to wait until he's busy doing something today...and write a note to him. I'll give it to him tomorrow before we leave for Universal.
Yay! Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

12 days 'til....

...Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons at Universal! I didn't even know they were performing at Mardi Gras this year, until I saw a poster at Publix last night. And they're playing on my birthday! (LOL!)
I've liked their music for a while, but ever since I saw "Jersey Boys" I like them even more. On a whim, I asked Will if we could go to Mardi Gras to see the concert(since we have Annual Passes) and he said YES!
Yay!!!!!!!

Sharing
Will and I have one semester together, before I graduate and he continues at "U Can't Finish" (only kidding on the nickname, UCF!).
That means we get to share a bunch of stuff:
*the free events that go on constantly
*Late Knights (if we ever want to)
*on-campus meals
*complaints (about Webcourses, especially)
*obviously, hugs and such in between classes
It's nice knowing he's here too. It's comforting. And it's cute that he asks me for help all the time. Yesterday he asked me to highlight the Engineering and Comp Sci buildings on a campus map, and tell him where Parking Services is. (He IMed me during his class to let me know he'd gotten everything okay, and found his classes with no problems.)
Yay.

More good news!
UCF has all of Will's documents now, and that means info about his AA from SCC. So he's officially been accepted! Apparently he has orientation on Jan. 6th.
He still has to petition the math and business colleges to accept his courses, but so far he's done the most important thing: gotten his foot in the door :) It should take about a year for him to finish his MIS degree.
Yay!

Will's a college graduate!
He earned his AA from SCC last Friday :) Now he's just got to do a few more things before he is officially accepted to UCF, and the real degree quest can begin :)
He actually followed through, and he's got a lot to show for it. I'm really proud of him.

Grandma died today.
I'm...I have no idea what to feel. I cried momentarily in my car when my mom called to tell me, but I started thinking about good times...and then those filtered out. Now I don't feel anything, but I think I have to SAY it somehow. I haven't actually said the words out loud, so I've been writing it. Here. In my other journal too.
I'm not even sure what ELSE to say. Will has been, well, Will, since I told him this morning. Mom says the service will be in Michigan sometime after New Year's. Since spring semester doesn't start (for me) until Thurs., Jan. 8, I can fly out to MI the Friday before that.
Will is sooooo understanding about the whole thing, even though it means we'll probably leave Auburn before New Year's. I can't fathom getting back in late one night, and turning right around to get up early, drive to the airport, and get on a plane. I need a couple of days to repack my stuff at least!
I'm gonna go continue being numb...and perhaps have a drink. I don't know what else to do. I know I should be doing things, like starting to pack for Auburn, and studying.
I feel empty.

Early Christmas gift!
Will and I went mall-walking to find Christmas gifts for his family about a week and a half ago, maybe a little more.
He pulled me into Whitehall Jewelers (anyone realize they've had that "Going Out of Business" sale for practically forever?) and started nosing around the birthstone jewelry. He asked a sales associate to show us some bracelets, but he didn't like any of them.
Then he asked about the birthstone earrings, and found these:
He had them boxed, and said they are an early Christmas gift! I've worn them with my necklace at Thanksgiving already...I can't wait to wear them at Christmas :-)

He handled it well
Well, America could do it...and we did! Obama is our president-elect! I'm STOKED! Soooo excited!
But I gotta give Will tons of credit :-) He kept an eye on the electoral votes and figured out when Obama won, but he agreed to let us watch until Florida was called. We took a non-partisan break to play some Guitar Hero, and then California put Obama over the top.
Will was just like McCain: really gracious. He didn't get in my face, there were no snide or stupid comments, and he didn't call me anything horrible. During the campaigns we teased each other, but tonight? Just a couple of hugs and a kiss.
I love him even more.
